TAUGHT BY DEBORAH HAYEK
Time: 9:00am to 3:00pm
Class Fee: $28.00
Non-Member Fee: $48.00
Supply Fee: $5.00
The upcoming Oct colored pencil collage class to be taught by Deborah Hayek will concentrate on color pencil blending and a type of cubism collage. Attached are examples of different swatches for color blending. Each student should be encouraged to pick a family of a color - choosing three pencils - one light, one medium and one dark in shade. These will be blended together to form a richer color. They should bring two different sets which equates to six pencils.
Picking from different color families such as yellow, red, purples, blues, browns. It is not so much about the color choice as it is learning blending and developing rich colors. I have provided some examples with the three pencil identification numbers. I am using Prismacolor pencils but the student can feel free to use other brands if that is what they have as long as they understand that a light, medium and dark shade is needed for this lesson.
If you are unable to purchase pencils or rather Deborah provides them for you then the supply fee will be $15 but you must request that at least two weeks prior to class.
Additional supplies that you will need to bring includes scissors, eraser, and pencil sharpener.
REMEMBER: For 2026 if you buy one seminar day you get one seminar day FREE. This does not include supplies – only the seminar fee of $28.00 for members only for this seminar.
